I would like to introduce you to Molly! She is the newest member of our family and provides lots of company while I am painting. Love & highly recommend the golden doodle breed!

Palladio Antiques & Art Mother's Day Event
This is a very special show for me! This month of May I get the honor of joining my very talented mother, Lois Arrechea in The Commons at Palladio. She has been the driving force behind my art! You may find our work at Palladio Antiques and Art in Memphis, TN. The galleries are beautiful and the food delish!
I photographed our work just as they finished hanging. Didn't they do a fantastic job? An artistic gift itself -

Trinity School Spotlight on Art Show
My mother, sister and I participated in the Trinity Spotlight On Art Show last month in Atlanta, GA. We had such fun attending the opening night of the show! It was evident that the ladies of the Trinity School have this entire art show thing down to an exact science. They make the artists feel like rockstars while managing to sell a ton of wonderful art. A huge thanks to all of you!
Enjoying the art with my mom!

Oxford, Mississippi Artist Studio and Recent Work
My mom and dad live in the beautiful town of Oxford, Mississippi. Their home is a stones throw from the home of Pulitzer Prize winner, William Faulkner. I must confess that my sister, brother and I did not appreciate growing up in this unique place until we had moved on to what we thought were greener pastures.
Lois (my mom) and Katherine (my sister) at the studio
My parents recently completed the construction of a beautiful studio in their Oxford backyard. If you have not figured it out yet, my mom, sister and I are all painters. We thought it would be fun to host an open studio for the public so we hung the art (thank you, Dad) turned on the music and lit the outdoor fire - you never know who may stop by! We loved meeting new friends and appreciate our lifelong friends that always come out to support us!!! We were so excited to meet the new Director of the University of Mississippi Museum, Robert Saarnio. He has recently landed in Oxford by the way of Hawaii. Thank you, Andi Bedsworth, for bringing him our way! We really enjoyed catching up with old friends and neighbors. Toyo Bruss called to say that she was bringing her new neighbor. Her new neighbor was none other than artist Sheila Stott Gourlay! LOVE her work and hope she hangs around Oxford a little longer! You can view her work at the Soren Christensen Gallery in New Orleans. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and can't wait to host our next event!!!
